ecipe: Balsamic Glazed Steak and Vegetables on a Sheet Pan
Ingredients:
- 1 lb flank steak
- 2 cups of your favorite vegetables (broccoli, bell peppers, zucchini, etc.)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and line a sheet pan with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
2. Prepare your vegetables by washing them thoroughly and cutting them into bite-sized pieces. Toss them in a bowl with half the minced garlic, one tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
3. Lay the vegetables out on one side of the sheet pan.
4. Now let's prepare the steak. Season both sides with salt and pepper, then rub it with the remaining garlic and olive oil.
5. Place the steak on the other side of the sheet pan.
6. Cook in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until your steak reaches your desired level of doneness and the vegetables are tender-crisp.
7. While everything is cooking, prepare your balsamic glaze. Pour the balsamic vinegar into a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat until it reduces by half, creating a thick, syrupy glaze.
8. Once everything is cooked, remove the sheet pan from the oven and drizzle the balsamic glaze over the steak and vegetables.
9. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing it against the grain.
10. Serve your Balsamic Glazed Steak and Vegetables hot, garnished with a sprinkle of fresh herbs if desired.
